So far, I have got to say that the sound quality is mediocre, but hey, it's $25. I have a Memorex karaoke, cheap one around $20, with pretty poor speakers, having an extra RCA cable laying around and connected the karaoke to the GPX speakers. It works great, essentially replicating a sound system, using the karaoke to play CDs, but here's my question, I've scoured the internet for answers, I am curious to what the specifications for the speakers (OHMs, amps, and such) along with what the output is on the built-in amp.
I purchased this product at our local Meijer store on sale. We had it for 2 months & it suddenly stopped working. I tried plugging into another outlet & still no luck. We never even used the CD player. I was initially excited about this product, I really liked that it has a remote & was a good price for what we wanted.
I use this in my office - LOVE having it, no issues until today - it just stopped working, I changed the electrical outlet that I had it in, have tried everything I can see to do but it will not come back on - it is like it is not getting power now - no warning
I had one and used it as a computer speaker system for a good while, though I had the version with the 2" drivers not the 2.5s I'd assume the newer ones are, but the sound quality was fair, it didn't have many features but it got the job done and I actually might had used the main unit by itself more than the speakers anyway but I had it with a subwoofer on a different amp as one system. if you're looking for excellent sound, this isn't it, if you're looking for something compact for a computer or tv and just want sound, it's great.
