After six months the radio portion of this unit is not working at ALL!! No FM or AM. Just static. And now I find out that there is only a 90 day warranty on this unit. GPX has offered to replace it for only approx. $10.00 less than what I paid for it initially and then when I add shipping to the replacement price I might as well go buy another NEW UNIT or find a more dependable product completely!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Great home radio and CD player. However, after a few weeks of use, the speakers that came with the system quit. The CD in the player spins and the screen shows it is playing, but there's no sound. Do I have to have the remote to use the speakers (I misplaced the remote)? Help!
Got a great price, but ease of use is lacking. I programmed 3 of my most listened to stations, but found that I can't scroll backwards, only forwards. In other words, If I scroll to the 3rd station, I have to scroll forward through 17 unprogrammed positions before I can get back to my first programmed station. Not very user friendly since I go back and forth between stations all the time. For this reason I will be returning it.
MY PROBLEM: The 2 auxiliary speakers can’t be made to work.
The RCA cable which came with the HT12B system has a red plug & white plug at one end, and a green plug at the other end. The only GREEN jack to plug into on the back of my 17” TV is labeled VIDEO.
Jack was too big. The Samsung 17” TV has 5 jacks on the back. One Red right audio, one White left audio, 1 Red & 1 Blue (unlabeled) and one Green video. I tried to insert the RCA cable green plug into the TV’s green jack, but the plug was too big to fit.
Next I tried this… I purchased an RCA cable with white and red jacks at both ends. I plugged the jacks into the red & white jacks on the subwoofer and the TV. Then I plugged the 2 speakers into the subwoofer. The speakers emitted a steady hum noise, but no other sound.
Can you suggest any way to make the 2 auxiliary speakers work normally? I don’t mind purchasing additional cables or other equipment to make the auxiliary speakers work.
Thought this was a nice looking table-top stereo for bedroom since it comes with alarm clock feature and I like local AM news radio in the morning. But it is impossible to sleep with the glaring blue LCD in room. Called for support ( maybe a way to dim the light). They advised I cover the light at night. So what good is a clock feature if you cant see it ?
Needed a new unit for the garage picked this one from Walmart. Out of the box it was an easy hook up. The radio worked but the CD player didn't. The operating manual could be better in setting up and using the presets which was very difficult to do and using them you have to go through all of them to find the one you want. Didn't see any way of deleting one if you make a mistake of going back to the one you want if you pass it.
