How do I delete recordings?

In DVR mode, use the Up/Down buttons to select a file to delete.
Press and hold Mode to begin deleting the file.
When the display reads “DEL”, press the Play/Pause button to confirm and delete the file.
To delete all files on the recorder, while the display reads “DEL”, press the Down button until the display reads “AL”.
Press Play/Pause to confirm and delete all files.

What is the maximum distance this device can record?

This device can record from up to 10 meters or 32 feet away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roll from Cool little unit for keeping track of what is said We have good some results with this little recorder, Grandson uses it for recording college class and fire acadamy lectures. Brother has used it for business conversations to keep people honest, they start back peddleing when he whips the recorder out and lets them hear what they "really" said. Of course you cannot use those conversations in court unless you let them know you are recording but it works for one on one dealings. It is clear playback of conversations and easy to operate with easy to follow instructions provided. It has several hours playback and battery capacity and we are pleased with it so far and we have only had it a short time.

Retailer would not Refund, so I was given another GPX 4GB. May I ask... IF PETE AND REPEAT WERE SITTING ON A FENCE, AND PETE FELL OFF... WHO WOULD BE LEFT? That's right. The second GPX 4gb is just as poorly designed and malfunctions the same as the first. Perhaps both were just assembled on a Bad Day...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jackie27 from Terrible Product, No MP3 Recording I just wrote a long review TWICE but then it wouldn't post because I had Ad Block Plus enabled the first time, and then after disabling and reloading (and writing it again), it still didn't work. So the website lost my whole review twice. I switched over from Chrome to Safari so hopefully it will work now. I'll keep it short this time: - Falsely implies that it records MP3, it does not. - The high quality WAV setting is the only decent one as others lower bitrate. - Terrible microphone - No built in mic - Overall shoddy design - Two AAA batteries drain when you leave them in so you have to take them out each time - No power button even though it advertises there's a power button (hence why you have to take the batteries out each time—I made the mistake the first time of putting in fresh batteries of leaving them in after I was done recording; 6 hours later, they were dead) Terrible product and can't recommend enough NOT to buy it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BKallday47 from Everything you want and need in a voice recorder. If you're looking for a great and simple voice recorder this is the one. With 4gb of memory it's all the storage you need. I haven't ran out of storage yet. The voice activation is pretty useful as well. And what is nice is that it's all simple and easy to use, no confusing menu or anything like that all pretty straight forward. Love that it comes with Head phones, USB cord for transfering data, and my personal favorite is the external mic it comes with that can clip on the collar of your shirt so you can be hands free. It does have a internal mic as well, and speaker so this has everything you need. The only thing I could ask for would be a little better navigation of your recorded files. But overall great recorder.

It can fit any where ur pocket ur purse and even n the slit of ur breast! I’m a care giver and storing the recorder is a must! It can fit nicely n my socks if I’m giving a shower! But most of all because I forget my own responsibility sometimes: the recorder will help me keep my apts and my to do list updated! Now that’s a blessing to not forget ur responsibility cause it can cause big problems ! I’m glad to have chosen this recorder it will help me with my memory and not feel like I’m forgetting to do something! I normally write things down on paper and then loose the paper? Lol But no more ? This convenient recorder will save the tress! Lol

The instructions were bad that I tried to find a video on how to use the product. The picture shown on the on-line store shows larger letters and buttons in front of the product not the side of product.
