He read through the directions himself, put it together and made sure to charge it for hours before the maiden voyage. My son is very good with electronics and flying things. He has a drone that is very complicated to fly that he has no trouble flying. That being said, unfortunately, he immediately crashed it the first time he tried to fly it, and the nose of the jet broke off. I tried hot gluing it back together, but the balance was off and it wouldn't fly after that. It was very disappointing for him, to say the least. In the future, I would suggest an adult try flying it first on a softer ground like grass in case it crashes maybe it won't completely break.

At first I was surprised by how lightweight the craft is, but rest assured - this is far sturdier than your childhood balsawood-and-rubberband airplanes of years past. I had the best luck with launching the craft by throwing it (as opposed to having it "take off" from a driveway, and would like to reiterate the instruction manual when it advises using it in open areas away from wires - I immediately knocked mine into my wife's windshield after starting it up for the first time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lazeronu from Remote does not work Got this as a Christmas present. I tried pairing remote and nothing. I noticed the throttle didn’t quite feel right. I pushed a little to the left while trying to pair a it worked. However the throttle stayed full and would not slow down or stopped. I pushed left a little more and then down and it did stop. I took it out and the throttle was sporadic. It was either on or not working at all. A little bit of pressure either left or right and the throttle and it would work. After about 3 minutes of flight which was extremely hard to control due to the throttle inconsistencies the remote stopped altogether. Sad it came out of box not working. Found a slight solution and then stopped all together. Was fun for the 3 minutes. I would gladly just take a replacement remote and see how this works properly.

This was perfect for a fun field gadget. It is lightweight so it is delicate, but it Flys like a dream. It was simple to put together and the controls are basic but sufficient. The design is realistic. Overall, I reccomend, but definitely for experienced, older audiences.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thekremerslove from It's a really good jet... I got this for my birthday. The thing I like most about it is that even though it can crash the battery stays safe. I like how you can throw it when you rev up the engine. It does have a wide turn radius but I can adjust to that easily. I wish it could take off from the ground but I still think it's a good plane. I recommend this product. My family and I have had fun with it !
